Tomatoes
August 13, 2008
Tomatoes are so delicious now, that whether you are eating them out of the garden, or out of the gardener’s box – enjoy these beautiful fruits by altering them as little as possible.
Compliment them with basil and olive oil over bread, (Crostini al Pomodoro), combine them with spelt, corn and peas, or in a panzanella, or cook them for spaghetti alla rustica.
Buon appeito!

Dear Mr. Luongo,
My husband and I were visiting NYC this past December at happened upon Tuscan Square. We’ve spoken many times about the mouthwatering experience we had there… and my husband, Chris, commented again tonight about the bolognese sauce he had on his pasta that night.
I have perused the indexes of the books your wrote and cannot find the sauce. Could you please share it w/ me or guide me to the book that it is in? I once lived in Manhattan and ate at many restaurants and must agree w him that it was the best we had.
We grow our own tomatoes and basils and would just be thrilled if we could add your sauce to our family dinner menus.
thanks!
